Green is for Health...!

I might have to agree with some of you out there. This might actually look like an over-the-top American Cupcake. But if green is synonym of Health, then this snack (or breakfast) suggestion is MEGA HEALTHY!!!
The pronounced green-blue colour is the result of mixing amazing great foods, including Spirullina, Barley Grass Powder, Superfoods Green Powder, and Raw Goat's Milk Kefir.
The recipe also contain Fresh Pomegranate, Kiwi Fruit, Walnuts, Pumpkin Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Milled Almonds, Chia Seeds, Flax/Linseeds, Brazil Nuts, Mint and Grated Ginger.

Do you think this recipe could help me win the 2016 Health Blog Awards?

Recipe:

110 ml Raw Goat's Milk Kefir
1/2 each Pomegranate
1 each Kiwi Fruit
4 Walnuts
1/2 Tsp Spirullina
1/2 Tsp Barley Grass Powder
1 scoop Green Powder
1 Tsp Chia Seeds
1/2 Tsp Pumpkin Seeds
1/2 Tsp Sunflower Seeds
1/2 Tsp
Sesame Seeds
1 Tsp milled Nuts and Seeds mix
pea-size Ginger
Mint Leaves

A student at CNM was looking for other students to collect some of her ever growing family of Kefir Grains. I could not refuse. I was in fact really excited as live (or even freeze-dried) Kefir Grains can be sold at extortionate prices, even from non reliable sources.
I went to buy my first litre of Raw Goat's Milk and within 24 hours, my first batch of Kefir was born. And, what a joy it was to taste it for the very first time.
I am now making 2 litres a week, and cottage cheese (recipe courtesy of Stephen Langley).

Kefir is a great source of Probiotics and is well-studied for its many benefits on restoring gut microflora. Kefir is also a great source of Tryptophan and can help you if you are suffering with sleep disorders.

Kefir is is also very easy to digest.

Recipe:
Place Chia Seeds in a mixing bowl. Pour the kefir over and incorporate the powders. Mix well.
Add Pomegranate to the mix and chopped Kiwi fruit (you can keep some pieces aside to place on top as decoration).
Serve and sprinkle with all remaining dry ingredients, finely chopped or grated Ginger, and Mint Leaves.

Your breakfast will never be the same once you have tried this recipe. You will feel more awake without the need to stimulants, including caffeine. The chlorophyll contained in Barley Grass and Green Powder, is made of nearly the same molecule as our blood, but with magnesium at its core, which means that more oxygen can enter circulation, and be delivered to all of your body cells, giving you more energy and and a chance for all of your cells to breathe.

This original recipe can also be served as a healthy snack. The sugar content (GI/GL) is very low, meaning that your blood sugar balance will remain stable, preventing you from the typical sugar-caffeine-craving rollercoaster.

bon appetit!
