Having started my CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)/Life-Coach/Counselling and having gone through my second case taking, it is clear that some imbalances are clearly from malnutrition or consumption of many of the wrong foods, and this negate any messages sent from the brain to the rest of the body, and the role of hormones, which once are deregulated many symptoms like depression, chronic fatigue, irritability, unstable emotions, and many more may appear.
It is also clear that nutrition (and relaxation/meditation/exercise) may not be able to prevent traumatic situations, but it can soften the blow and help you face whatever in a much calmer way, and lift you up whenever your heart sinks.
This is why I want to add CBT and life-coaching as important tools in my practice of Naturopathic Nutrition, because to evaluate your nutritional needs, there is a need to establish your obstacles, your need for recovery (if necessary) or prevention, to help you reach optimum nutrition.
I should graduate June 2016 and once I also graduate from Naturopathic Nutrition, Naturopathic Medicine, and Iridology a month later, I will have enough arrows in my bow to establish a practice with solid foundations. In coming newsletters, I will write articles with connection between CBT and Nutrition, as I learn more about the subject and more confident about case taking.
